this is an older sketch i originally made for my dad's story, the magic chicken. I thought it an appropriate preface to the series, because it is my father who has made me love stories so much. he is the greatest storyteller i know and regularly toted me to the old linebaugh library when i was little. the picture itself is a reminder of how i felt after late nights of listening to his stories– euphoric, drifting and suspended.
